My reaserch on mermaids

Hello everyone, I am Elena force. I conducted this research for over three years and finally I'm gonna go out to conduct it practically. these are the facts about mermaids. There are two types of these creatures, one is mermaid and the other is siren. but both of them are more the same, sirens hunt but mermaids don't.

One of the earliest mermaid legends appeared in Syria around 1000 BC when the goddess Atargatis dove into a lake to take the form of a fish. As the gods there would not allow her to give up her great beauty, only her bottom half became a fish, and she kept her top half in human form.

Christopher Columbus was the very first person to see a mermaid, sorry not one but three.

Florida, Korea... are the places we could see mermaids. It was also known that mermaids can see the future.

I wanted to know whether everything I just said was true.
